Located in the renovated Hanover Tavern, Michelle’s offers new southern cuisine focusing in local and regional ingredients. Michelle's is owned and operated by Michelle Williams (Richmond Restaurant Group) and Executive Chef Greg Haley (Former Executive Chef at The Hard Shell and Europa). As part of the Hanover Tavern, Michelle's features four unique dining areas. Our spacious patio, the plantation like Veranda, the elegantly rustic Montgomery room, and the casual Wooden Door Pub. Walk-ins are always welcome but reservations are recommended on the weekends. Please join us soon.
Also located inside the Hanover Tavern is the Barksdale Theatre. The Barksdale returned theatrical programming to Hanover Tavern in January 2006, initiating a four-play Country Playhouse Season designed to complement its five-play Signature Season at Willow Lawn.
Barksdale is now recognized nationally as Central Virginia’s leading professional theatre. The nonprofit company continues to grow, challenge and share as it seeks to build upon an unparalleled legacy of artistic excellence and community service.
